Get To Know Me

Updated: Feb 20

Hello, my name is Abigail Paden. I am an aspiring missionary who loves books, movies, and the outdoors. I have been dabbling in writing and will take a Creative Writing class during the spring semester. My website will be a mix of all of those things. This website will also be a hub of sorts for all of the fundraisers I plan on having over the next few months in preparation for my summer internship in Quito, Ecuador. Hopefully, I will be able to continue to use it for fundraising for any future trips.

As I said earlier, I am a huge fan of books. They are normally my primary source of entertainment, although college has kind of put a damper on that, but I still listen to a lot of audiobooks. My favorite books are the Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson, The Elusive Truth of Lily Temple by Joanna Davidson Politano, Mind the Gap by Erynn Mangum, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. I love that books stick with me no matter how long it has been since I read them. I never truly forget the lessons they have taught me.

Lately, I have become enraptured by movies. My favorites are Bonhoeffer, The Lion King, Tangled, and The Princess Bride. I have only watched Bonhoeffer and The Princess Bride one time each, but they have both been transformative to my taste in movies. I had never seen cheesy done in a way that was not completely unbearable. The Princess Bride is the only movie I have watched that made cheesy-ness funny. It is one of the funniest movies I have ever watched. Bonhoeffer was a remarkable movie and I highly suggest it to anyone interested in Dietrich Bonhoeffer or the Church during WWII.

Thank you for checking out my website, I know that this post is a little short but I hope it has peaked your interest a bit.
